Our Fennel Seeds are aromatic, with a sweet, licorice-like flavor, and are commonly used in Italian sausages, Indian curries, and Mediterranean dishes. Uses

Toast before using to enhance flavor. Add fennel seeds to Italian sausage, meatballs, and pork dishes. They pair beautifully with tomatoes and work in pasta sauces. Use in Indian cooking, particularly in masalas and curries. Our seeds work in breads, especially Italian breads and crackers. Fennel enhances fish dishes, especially Mediterranean preparations. Add to pickling brines and preserved vegetables. Season pork roasts, chicken, and fish with whole, cracked or ground fenne or a combination of. Use for tea by steeping seeds in hot water. Whole fennel seeds are safe for consumption in recipes and, in some cultures, are served plain after meals as a digestive aid and breath freshener.
