Over a half-century of combined expertise in the spice trade

Our family business has developed a keen sense for the value, quality, and experience that make our shop and your kitchen a wonderful place to explore and create.  As a Savory Spice for our first dozen years, we’ve learned as much about buildings flavors from our customers as we hope you’ve learned from us.   While the names and packaging will change, the Savory seasonings you’ve grown to love will remain a cornerstone of our offerings – including our popular Spice ‘n Easy recipe packs.

While making this transition to a more-independent Lincoln Square Spice Co., our proposition to you remains more than just unchanged – we’ll elevate our responsiveness to changing food trends to match your kitchen aspirations.  If you have an idea for something you’d like us to offer or create we’d love to hear from you.   And importantly, we can now meet you where and how you want to shop; in-store and on our new website.  Of course, the in-store pickup option will be available.  And we’re sure to have some surprises along the way for you too.

As home cooks ourselves, we’ve always strived to be an accessible place where cooks and bakers of all abilities can feel comfortable asking questions and sharing ideas.  We look forward to continuing that tradition.
Your patronage of Lincoln Square Spice Co. directly supports our business and this wonderful community and we want you to know how much we appreciate you.

Dave, Darice and all our Spice Merchants

Plan a Trip to the ‘the Square’!

Nestled on the North Side of Chicago just steps from the Western Brown Line Stop, Lincoln Square is a welcoming neighborhood that embraces hometown kindness and energy.  The neighborhood features a variety of retail shops including The Chopping Block cooking school, Merz Apothecary, Enjoy: An Urban general Store, Timeless Toys, Genevieve Boutique, a great record store in Laurie’s Planet of Sound, and local artist-featured Midwest Nice!

Grab a coffee at one of several cafes or enjoy a meal at the many restaurants that sprinkle “the square” - as we say.   Take in a picture show at the Davis Theatre or a class at The Old Town School of Folk Music or browse local artists’ work at Chicago Printmakers Collaborative.   A day in Lincoln Square is a full day!  For more information check out the Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce (link: www.lincolnsquare.org)
